BIO In the last several years Ivo Dimchev has become known to the audience mostly due to his radical work in the field of physical theatre.
He is author of the choreography and the music of ''SLEEPING DOG'' physical performance, realized in collaboration with Masaki Iwana on the stage of the National Theatre ''Ivan Vazov'' in Sofia 2001. The performance has been presented on festivals in France, Italy, Egypt, etc.
He is choreographer and composer of the music for the performance ''THE GARDEN OF THE SINGING FICUSES'', a production of The Red House for Culture and Debate staged at the National Theatre ''Ivan Vazov'' 2002 presented at festivals in France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, etc.
In 2003 Ivo created the improvisational video street-performance ''VOLK'S MOTHER'', the video-version of which has successfully given arrive in ''They Are Leaving'' Sofia, 2003, Balkan Dance Platform Bucharest, 2003, Art Expo Madrid, 2005 and the Biennale for Young Visual Artists Bucharest, 2005.
He is author of the photo-installation ''THE LAST ROOM'', presented within the framework of ''The Ideal'' A Week of Contemporary Art - Plovdiv, 2005.
In 2005 he creates ''LILI HANDEL -blood, poetry and music from the white whore's boudoir''- 50 min. physical performance . (Award for best actor at the MASK festival-Szeged/Hungary 2005) "Lili Handel" has been presented more then 100 times in Bulgaria ,Makedonia, France, Hungary, USA, Italy, Turkey, Romania, Germany, Slovenia, Czech, Sweden, Canada, Ireland etc.
In January 2005 for the choreography contest after the name of Margarita Arnaudova he creates the performance "HAHA OR SOUL STRETCHING EXERSISESœ with Ballet Arabesque and received The Award of the Jury and the Award of the Audience.
In August 2005 he was taken Dance Omi residency for 2 weeks in New York- collaborative residency for 10 international choreographers. There he creates "THE ROAD" 10min site-specific dance performance for 5 dancers.
In October 2005 he creates "PERFORATORIUM" 60 min dance theatre performance with Theatre Laboratory Alma Alter in Sofia.

In December 2006 was the premiere of "28013" - a cultural solo with/about Petia Iosifova in The Red House in Sofia.
12th May - premiere of "FIRST SUMMER CHOIR" Underground Sofia festival with Alma Alter theatre laboratory
1st of June 2007 - premiere of "LIAR" 50 min - Gilotin theatre - Stockholm/Sweden.
10th of July 2007 - premiere of "MEDEA" 50 min in Zambek theatre festival- Hungary.
11th of August 2007 - premiere of ENJOYJULYœ 55 min in Belef theatre festival in Belgrad ,Serbia.
The WORKSHOPS Ivo Dimchev gives a based on creating a solo or group compositions of fixed and improvised text/voice/movements and develop creativity, improvisation, musicality and high level of concentration and coordination.
